Hi 🖐! We are I Love Venezuela SwedenWe are the people behind this project of love for Venezuela. Living in Sweden, we realized how fortunate we were and wanted to make a positive difference for our country and people, specially for our children ♥️.This year we want to raise awareness about the complex humanitarian crisis in Venezuela that stills forces many Venezuelans to leave the country travelling up to 4500 KM. That equates to 900 races of 5 KM. That's why we've created the campaign #WeWalkSoTheyDon'tHaveto with the aim of visualizing this terrible situation and also raising funds to help more people have access to health services 🩺 within the country. Maybe that way they don't have to make such a hard decision to leave the coutnry with the risks that this entails, leaving behind their families and even children 👦🏻👧🏻👧🏽- How does this work?We are four teams, 16 people in total (Venezuelans, Swedes and other nationalities!) that will run or walk for Venezuela in the Stockholm Midnight Race (Midnattsloppet) next August 19th. We’ve established a fundraising goal of 5.000 SEK for our four teams. 100% of the funds raised will go to support our local ally ADSManiapure and their Maniapure Health Days which will bring specialist care for women angd girls to their health clinic in Maniapure this Fall!- Why should this matter to others?
