Donate Earth Bricks and Contribute to Safe School Buildings

Contribute to new safe school buildings in the village of Dhumling, located west of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. The project is in collaboration with Build up Nepal, an organization dedicated to building resilient communities and fighting poverty in rural Nepal. The goal is to finance bricks for at least two out of four planned classrooms.ABOUT THE SCHOOLSahara Bal Bikash Kendra School is located in the village of Dumling, 40 kilometers from Nepal's capital Kathmandu. Children from six different villages come to Dhumling to take part in education. Although the school only has one class (kindergarden), children up to year five study at the school, as the nearest higher education school is a 2-hour walk away.A total of 40 children, of which 21 are girls, study at Sahara Bal Bikash Kendra School. The school's existing building is old and damaged, and the risk of collapse is high. The school's only classroom is 3x3 meters in size and half of the school's students are forced to study outdoors due to a lack of space. The unstable building is not safe, and it is difficult for students to study outdoors when it rains. The school has a small kitchen and the local government provides the students with lunch every day, which is one reason why many students continue to come to school. Most students come from poor families who lack sufficient access to food and supplies. The land around the village is almost unusable and many of the men work in agriculture in nearby villages. There is a road that goes almost all the way to the village, but the villagers are forced to walk the last kilometer on foot. The school's land is secured, and the local government will provide the school with more teachers once construction is completed.
