Support our projects and causes
Since the invasion, OperationAid has worked 24/7 with different types of needs in Ukraine and Poland. Supporting shelters with livelihoods, transporting elderly people who cannot travel by public transport, distributing food and heat at the border, saving pets from having to stay in Ukraine when their families have to flee are just some of the actions the organizations have taken. Please help us to help more.
Bus from the Ukrainian border to Sweden
Many people are now fleeing Ukraine across the Polish border. They need to settle down and many of them do not know where they are going next. Since the start of the invasion, Operation Aid has offered buses to Sweden, and has so far managed to help 2,000 people. Help us help even more people get to safety.
Truck loaded with food
As more and more people flee the eastern side of Ukraine, many stay on the western side near the borders. The food supply is now reaching emergencies and is actually running out across the country. Please help us to help people not to starve, and to get some food every day.
We operate where the needs are greatest
OperationAid has a small but effective medical team in the field in Przemysl and in the border area between Poland and Ukraine. Our medical team is Ellen-Elena Reinolds. In the field, the team usually consists of at least one doctor and several nurses. All decisions regarding the administration of drugs to patients are first clarified with our medically qualified physician. We work with medical posts in the refugee centers in the area, as well as with NGOs and private groups of people we trust, to get our medical supplies to the areas of Ukraine that need them most. We also work with medical aid organizations at the Medyka border crossing by providing basic medical care to people waiting at the border line. We operate where the needs are greatest. We are mobile and fast and can reach patients at short notice. If you want to donate medical equipment, you will find a list here. Contact us at email@example.com. We appreciate your valuable contribution! If you have a medical education and want to volunteer with us, do not hesitate to contact us through our application form for volunteers! Distribution of private donations Did you collect donations among your friends and relatives and plan to drive to Poland or Ukraine? Contact us and we will help you make sure that things reach those who need them most.
Finding security on the other side of the border
OperationAid offers free transport from several locations in Poland to Sweden. We pick up refugees at some of the largest refugee centers in Poland and take them safely to their new reality. OperationAid has registration desks at two refugee reception centers: one in Przemysl and one in Karczowa. Our volunteers provide information about Sweden and what it has to offer, what we provide in terms of transport and what the process looks like when they arrive in Sweden. We have printed information in Ukrainian and Russian and usually at least one volunteer translator is present. Those who decide to go to Sweden are then registered. We take their passport information, note how families are related and if they have any allergies or disabilities. When everything is registered, a place on the bus is reserved and time for pick-up is arranged. We work closely with both Polish and Swedish bus companies. Most of our donations go to finance this transport.
"Thank you for your support and thank you for your efforts to make this world better. Keep you both in my heart 💛💙"
