Play Your Part For Ukraine
The record label Chillmi and UN Women Sweden have joined forces and created the initiative “Play Your Part For Ukraine”, as a response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
As we witness the tragedies in Ukraine, it's obvious that it is urgent and that we must act fast. That's why Chillmi has decided to donate its entire income for one week (March 7th- March 13th) to UN Women Sweden, and we ask you to help in any way you can.
If you are unable to make a donation, please share this fundraiser or listen to our playlist as this generates more money which will go directly to UN Women Sweden and their work in Ukraine.*
You can also buy a Play Your Part For Ukraine Gift Card and give it to someone special.
*All of Chillmi’s income is from the streaming of their music. The more streams they get this week, the more money will go directly to UN Women Sweden. Chillmi will not take any of the money made this week.
As the heavy military offensive continues in Ukraine, reports of civilian casualties and
civilian infrastructure damage continue to increase, with communities at the
brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.
Since the 24th of February, more than 1 million Ukrainians, a vast majority of whom are women, girls and children have fled their homes and sought refuge in neighboring countries.
The current situation jeopardizes the safety of all Ukrainians and puts women and girls at increased risk of sexual and gender-based violence, especially those who are refugees or otherwise displaced from their homes.
The situation is dire. Many women’s organizations are unable to operate
due to shelling and displacement.
UN Women stands in solidarity with the women of Ukraine, including those
who had to flee their homes and separate from their loved ones, those who
stayed to provide humanitarian support in extremely difficult circumstances and
at great risk, and the women human rights defenders and activists who are
making their voices heard in calling for peace.
UN Women has been present across Ukraine since 2015. We are committed to supporting Ukraine’s people, especially its women and girls and their families at this time of greatest need. Please donate today.
We would like to thank Chillmi for their amazing initiative, if you want to know more about them you can visit their website here.
“I feel a duty as a human being, to not stand idly by while we see such horrific acts done to innocents. We all need to play our part, and it is important that we do whatever we can to help people in need.” - Isaac Sandelin, CEO at Chillmi
